What's new in Kiro CLI, November 2026
Kiro CLI v3 becomes the default harness and ships as a single kiro-cli binary
So far in November 2026, Kiro CLI has shipped one release, v3.0.0, which makes V3 the default agent harness for interactive sessions on hosts that can run it. The month is still in progress, so more releases may follow.
Existing V2 users are asked before the new default applies, and Kiro upgrades custom agents still in the V2 format unless that is turned off. Kiro CLI is now a single standalone kiro-cli binary, and this retires the Classic interface, the desktop app, and inline autocomplete. Anyone relying on those should check the release notes before upgrading.
