Release Notes

Set credit usage limits and alerts for your workspace Workspace admins and owners on paid plans can now set usage limits and alerts that keep shared credits under control. Set a credit threshold for the whole workspace, a project, a member, or, on Business and Enterprise plans, a group or an access token, and choose what happens when usage reaches it: an email or in-app alert, or a block that stops building or pauses Lovable Cloud, AI features, and metered connector requests in deployed apps. You can also get an alert when your workspace balance drops below an amount or percentage you choose, and members who reach a blocking limit can request an increase that you approve or deny. Find it under Workspace settings → Usage limits & alerts. Get help when your Cloud database is under high load When your Lovable Cloud database runs low on resources, Lovable can now warn you that your app is under high load in the project chat, in the Publish dialog, and in More → Cloud → Database. Click Resolve to have Lovable check whether the database is still under pressure, find the likely cause, and suggest query or code changes before you move to a larger instance. When a larger instance is the right fix, Lovable shows the credit impact and offers the resize for your approval. Resizing from chat is available on paid plans. Cloud database changes are now recorded as Drizzle migrations When Lovable changes the structure of your Lovable Cloud database, it now records each change as a migration file in your project's code, under drizzle/migrations/. Lovable uses Drizzle, an open-source tool for database migrations, to create and apply these files. A migration file is a SQL file that describes one change to the database structure, so your code carries the full history of how your database was built. Lovable also refuses changes that could break your published app, such as dropping or renaming a table or column, and reaches the same result by adding to your database instead, for example by adding a new column and copying the data over. To let Lovable make such changes directly, set Execute backward incompatible database migrations in your Cloud permissions. Faster inline text edits Simple text changes you make with Edit text inline in the preview toolbar now apply in a few seconds. Text that your app builds from data or translates still takes a little longer. Gemini 3.7 Flash is deprecated for your app's AI features Google is retiring Gemini 3.7 Flash (google/gemini-3.7-flash), so it is now marked deprecated for your app's AI features and stops working on January 28, 2027. Apps that use it keep working until then, and Lovable no longer picks it for new AI features. If your app uses it, ask Lovable to switch to Gemini 3.8 Flash (google/gemini-3.8-flash) before that date.
