Devin Desktop adds a plugin system, subagent MCP access and terminal allow/deny lists

Devin Desktop's June 2026 releases focused on extending and controlling Devin Local. Version 3.2.16 added a devin plugin system for extending Devin Local, in preview and opt-in for enterprises. Subagents can now call MCP tools directly, and teams can enforce terminal allow/deny lists through CLI permission scopes. Nine releases shipped, from v3.0.12 to v3.2.28.

v3.3.18 displays Devin ACU usage in the client, lets subagents be configured with a default model, and warms the MCP registry cache at startup so MCP servers are ready sooner. It also adds an attribution option to the Devin Local config file; setting it to false suppresses Devin mentions in commit messages. Earlier, v3.1.7 added .devinignore support alongside .windsurfignore and .codeiumignore and put the Agent/Editor switch in the collapsed-sidebar titlebar. The rest were Windows, MCP and skill-loading fixes. Two releases (v3.0.12 and v3.0.21) had no notes beyond a download link.
