Errors
Every error the Havoptic API and MCP server return: problem+json type, HTTP status, what it means and how to fix it.
Errors are RFC 9457 problem details with Content-Type: application/problem+json. The type is a URL on this site that explains the error; param names the offending input when there is one.

| invalid_parameter | 400 | A query parameter, path parameter or request body field has a value the API does not accept. |
| not_found | 404 | The release, tool, version, vendor, feature, webhook or route you asked for does not exist. |
| unauthorized | 401 | You sent an API key that is unknown or revoked. |
| api_key_required | 401 | The endpoint needs an API key and the request did not send one. |
| webhook_limit_reached | 409 | Your key already has as many webhooks as its tier allows. |
| rate_limited | 429 | You sent more requests than your tier allows per minute, or used up the daily quota of your key. |
| internal | 500 | Something went wrong on our side, or the dataset was briefly unavailable (503). |
| webhooks_unavailable | 503 | Webhooks are not configured on the host you called. |
invalid_parameter (400)
A query parameter, path parameter or request body field has a value the API does not accept. Details and fixes.
not_found (404)
The release, tool, version, vendor, feature, webhook or route you asked for does not exist. Details and fixes.
unauthorized (401)
You sent an API key that is unknown or revoked. Details and fixes.
api_key_required (401)
The endpoint needs an API key and the request did not send one. Details and fixes.
webhook_limit_reached (409)
Your key already has as many webhooks as its tier allows. Details and fixes.
rate_limited (429)
You sent more requests than your tier allows per minute, or used up the daily quota of your key. Details and fixes.
internal (500)
